1. First thing you need to do is login to your WordPress admin area. Next, click on "Dashboard » Appearance » Themes".
2. Once you are on the themes page, click on the "Add New" button at the top.
3. On the next screen, click on the "Upload Theme" button at the top.
4. Select the file and click Install Now.
You are trying to import "nailme.zip" theme but have an error message saying: "The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini"
The solution is as follows:
(1) You can use FTP:
Download the theme archive/files on your local computer and upload the files in the theme folder "/wp-content/themes/". Then you will have the theme in your Dashboard and you can activate it from there.
(2) If you are using wamp for your localhost then click on the wamp green icon that is running and press on PHP directory, then you will see "php.ini" file.
If you dont use wamp software, then just find the "php.ini" file and open it. and search for "upload_max_filesize". you should find rows like the bellow one:
upload_max_filesize = 2M
By default the upload_max_filesize is 2 megabyte. Just simply change it to
upload_max_filesize = 20M (20 megabyte), then save your php.ini file and restart your services and it will work.
5. Once your theme is installed, you will see a success message along with the link to "Activate" and preview the theme.
6. Once you activate the premium theme you will see a notice on the top of your wordpress admin screen asking you to install the some recomended plugins. If you don’t want to use these plugins just click dismiss this notice. Otherwise click the begin installing plugins link.
You can also install these plugins at any time by clicking on the "Dashboard » Appearance » Install Plugins" page.
7. On the plugin install page you can click the install link and then activate the plugin in the installed plugins area of the wordpress admin: "Dashboard » Plugins » Installed Plugins".
8. After activating it, please note there is an important first step after installing the Backstage theme. You need to navigate to "Dashboard » Settings » Permalinks" and click on the "Save Changes" button, even if you haven’t made any changes.
Remember, this is not for true beginners because it is a little bit more advanced.
1. You must unzip the folders before you upload a theme using FTP.
2. You would need to go to the path (/wp-content/themes/). Once you’re there, simply upload your theme’s folder there.
3. Once you have uploaded the theme, go to "Dashboard » Appearance » Themes".
4. Once your theme is installed, you will see a success message along with the link to "Activate" and preview the theme.
5. After activating it, please refer to the steps 6-8 of "Install Your Theme by Using Upload Method from WordPress Admin".
Installed this theme manually for the first time then the full width slider has a one default background image will be displayed when your theme has not slider image.
You can use the Customizer by clicking on "Dashboard » Appearance » Customize" in your WordPress admin panel. You can also get to the Customizer when you click on the "Customize" link underneath the theme screenshot on "Dashboard » Appearance » Themes".
The demo content will now be available in your WordPress installation, and you can move on to installing and configuring the widgets to match the demo!
1. In your WordPress admin go to "Dashboard » Tools » Import".
2. Click on WordPress, as we are going to be importing posts and other content from the demo installation. This will open a pop-up that will allow you to install the WordPress Importer plugin. Once ready, click on "Install Now" at the bottom right of the pop-up.
WordPress will download and install the plugin package from the WordPress.org repository; once complete, you’ll be given the option of activating and opening the plugin, or returning to the list of importer options. Click on "Activate Plugin" and Run Importer.
3. You will be asked to install the WordPress installer. Click install. Once installed click the activate and run installer link.
4. Choose the "Demo-Content/nailme_wordpress_demo_content.xml" downloaded in the .zip above.
5. Once selected, Click "Upload file and import".
6. On the next page you will be asked to assign a user to the posts you are importing.
7. Make sure you have download and import file attachments checked.
8. Click the "Submit" button. This will take a little while to upload.
If you have recently updated the WordPress 4.5 or higher version to your website, then you may change logo in our Theme Options "Dashboard » Appearance » Customize » Site Identity". On this page, edit the "Logo" field and hit the "Save & Publish" button.
If you have the WordPress on a lower version of 4.5 to your website, then you may change logo in our Theme Options "Dashboard » Appearance » Customize » General". On this page, edit the "Logo" field and hit the "Save & Publish" button.
Favicon can be changed in our Theme Options "Dashboard » Appearance » Customize » Site Identity » Site Icon".
The header background is available when you are to jump from page (not homepage). You can choose default custom headers packaged with the theme.
Go to "Dashboard » Appearance » Customize » Header Image"., navigate to "Current header".

To add your first custom menu, follow these steps:
1. Create a new menu
Go to "Dashboard » Appearence » Menus", and click on "create a new menu" to create your first custom menu. By default the "Primary Menu" area for your theme is selected for you, and Default Menu has been started.
To change the name of your Default Menu, click on the pencil icon and give it a new name like "Main Menu".
Next, click "Create Menu" button.
2. Organize your menu
If you have any pages already published on your site, those pages will be listed for you in your first menu.
Now you’re ready to add menu items from the boxes on the left, such as pages, categories and links.
If you’d like to change which menu options you see from this page, click to expand the Screen Options tab. Now you can add other menu items options such as posts, tags or formats, or show advanced menu properties like CSS classes.
When you have your menu items arranged in order, click Save Menu.
Finally, you should tick the appropriate checkbox of "primary menu" from options as "Theme locations".

We recommend uploading videos in all three formats (WEBM, MP4, and OGV) in order to ensure compatibility with all modern browsers. In the Video Image field you can upload a background image that will be visible while the video is loading.
A field named Select Gallery post format will appear in the Image Gallery section of the page. This format features an image gallery slider. In order for it to work, you need to click "Add/Edit Images" button to add a gallery in the Image Gallery section of your page, and here you can upload and add your gallery images.
You can just check the box "Enable Lightbox for this gallery?" in order to enable lightbox effect for gallery.
2. Beneath the Format section you will see a section named Categories. Here you can select the categories that you would like to add this post to. If you would like to create a new category, click on the "+ Add New" link. A text field will appear in which you can enter a category name, and then click Add New Category.
3. Choose featured image from right side on the page and click "Set Featured Image". And set a featured image which will be displayed for this post on portfolio list pages.
4. (Optional) Add default content in your wordpress post editor. It will describe your featured image, video or gallery slider.
5. (Optional) But sometimes you might not be happy with an automatically generated excerpt or you just want to add your own custom excerpt. In that case there is an option integrated in WordPress to enable an additional field to enter custom excerpts.
This field usually isn’t visible by default. When you are on the edit post screen, you’ll see a small menu item "Screen Options" in the upper right corner of the screen. Please click on the button and it will open an options panel where you can just check the box "Excerpt".
6. Save or Publish the page, by click the appropriate button in the top right of your screen.

6. You have to turn on comments for this page. After navigating to the editing screen for the post or Page you wish to add comments to, find the "Discussion" box and check “Allow Comments.” (If you do not see the "Discussion" box on the edit Page, click "Screen Options" in the upper right corner of the browser window. Note: You can not create the Static Front Page. By default, Nailme will serve "Homepage Classic" on the homepage. home-style-1.php and index.php files are the same.
